Ghosted Plot

Lonely Sadie meets Cole, a salesman in need of romantic help, at a Washington farmer's market. They share a pleasant all-nighter that culminates in sex, and Cole returns home, but his texts to Sadie go unanswered. Cole's sister suspects she is "dreaming" of him, but their parents convince her to surprise Sadie in London when she finds Cole using a tracking device she accidentally left in her bag.

In London, Cole is kidnapped by arms dealers in Pakistan who believe him to be a legendary CIA agent known as "The Tax Man". Before he can be tortured with insects to extract the access code, he rescues Sadie, who reveals himself to be a tax collector. After a chase through the Khyber Pass, they escape from Cole's captors, who work for disgraced French intelligence agent Leveque, who is selling a stolen bioweapon called "Azteka" for which he needs an access code. Arriving in a nearby town, Cole and Sadie argue about the lies to each other and meet Marco, Sadie's old contact and ex-lover. She warns Cole that Sadie cares more about the success of the mission than the lives of her boyfriends and agrees to take Cole home. Their plans are interrupted by a group of bounty hunters when Leveque puts a price on Cole's head; Marco is killed, but the bounty hunters kill each other. Sadie delivers Cole to Leveque, who leaves his minions behind in Wagner's plane with a locked box containing Sadie, Cole, and the Aztecs. Their cover is blown when Wagner finds a picture on Cole's phone of Cole and Sadie in bed together, but Cole jumps to safety with the Aztec holster and wounds Sadie. Landing on the island of Socotra, Cole uses his farming skills to take care of Sadie and returns with her. They are ambushed by Leveque's men and Wagner escapes with the incident while US Marines rescue Cole and Sadie.

At CIA headquarters, Sadie is fired for losing the Aztecs and tries to apologize for putting Cole in danger, but what hurts Sadie the most is her commitment to her mission. He helps encrypt the access code and agrees to continue his disguise as a tax collector, luring Leveque with an offer to sell the access code. Leveque meets Mr. Utami, Cole's own Aztec buyer, in a revolving restaurant and kills the agents guarding Cole. Sadie arrives, restoring Cole's trust in her, and instead sells the password to Mr. Utami for $10 million. He uses the money to put a bounty on Leveque and they are immediately surrounded by bounty hunters.

An exchange of fire breaks out, damaging the rotating mechanism and causing the restaurant to spin at high speed. Leveque shoots Utami and Cole kills Wagner by throwing him into the mech. Sadie is able to send Leveque falling to his death through the window, narrowly saving the Aztec device.
