The Flash is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is produced by DC Studios, Double Dream and Disco Factory and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. This is supposed to be the 13th episode of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Directed by Andy Muschietti from a film by Christina Hodson, the movie stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash along with Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue and Michael Keaton. In the film, Barry travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder, with unintended consequences. Development of The Flash began in the late 1980s, with several writers and directors joining the project until 2014. The film was then reworked as part of the DCEU, with Miller playing the title character.

Several directors entered the film over the next few years, with Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa, and the duo of John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein leaving the project due to creative differences. Muschietti and Hodson joined the film in July 2019, and pre-production began in January 2020. The film is inspired by the comic book story Flashpoint, featuring several DC Comics characters, including Ben Affleck and Keaton reprising their versions of Batman. Principal photography took place from April to October 2021 at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden and across the UK.

The film was originally scheduled for release on March 23, 2018, when Warner Bros. first announced their DCEU movie before it was pushed back to March 16th. That was then. was pushed back to June 3, 2022, before being pushed back to November 4, 2022, after Warner Bros. changed the release schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Warner Bros. - Sasha Calle Kara Zor-Elina/Supergirl: A strong Kryptonian with powers, abilities, and a costume similar to Superman. Calle is the first Latina actress to play Supergirl.
- Michael Shannon as General Zod:
- A Kryptonian general with the same powers as Superman, whom he killed in Man of Steel (2013). Shannon received Man of Steel director Zack Snyder's blessing to reprise his role after hesitating over a tumultuous history between Snyder and Warner Bros. regarding his subsequent DCEU productions.

- Ben Affleck reprises his DCEU role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the original version of Wayne from Barry's timeline and leader of the Justice League. Director Andy Muschietti said that the character has a significant emotional impact on the film because of her relationship with Barry, in part because their mother was murdered. Affleck said his scenes in the film were his favorite as the character and "a nice end" to his Batman era up to this point. He added that he felt that five minutes into the film, his scenes were the first time he "really understood the character" and figured out how to play him. Jeremy Irons also reprises his DCEU role as Wayne's butler.
